Born in Toronto and now practicing in Ottawa Elise attended York University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts. With a 14- year career in the Insurance industry as a Registered Insurance Broker she earned her Associate’s Designation from the Canadian Insurance Institute and obtained the highest Life Insurance licence available in Ontario. During her career in the insurance industry she honed her advocacy skills. She continued her education at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario where she earned her LL.B. and was subsequently called to the Ontario Bar. She has since established her own practice in Ottawa.
Elise is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association (CCLA.) and a Certified Mediator. She has appeared at various Ontario Superior Courts of Justice as well as the Court of Appeal for Ontario and various tribunals.
Elise believes that it is important to be an active member of the community. She has volunteered for the Canadian Red Cross Homeless Assistance program; was a student volunteer at the Queen’s University Legal Aid Clinic. She has conducted fundraising for an Ottawa women and children’s shelter. Elise is a member of several women’s business associations. Elise participates in a variety of individual as well as team sports.
